Hide tasks within Learning Tasks

With so many tasks being created within Learning Tasks - over 90,000 per week at the peak of the pandemic - it’s vital that students can easily navigate to the right tasks (and not miss out on newly created ones!) Now, rather than having to digitally sift through hundreds of tasks that have already been completed, these activities can be hidden for users if they are no longer relevant, and found within the ‘Show Hidden Tasks’ tab to be reviewed at a later date.

Modify the fine print in event permission notes (NSW schools)

‍Following feedback from our many public schools in New South Wales, we’ve added the ability to edit event consent blurbs within Compass. It’s now possible to add some extra details to an existing blurb, include school-specific policies, or customise the fine print for a particular event.

Export and print student lists (Irish schools)

A popular request from our ever-growing base of schools in Ireland, ahead of the start of the new school year in the northern hemisphere, we’ve made it possible to export and print student lists from Compass, assisting smaller schools where a degree of paper-based roll marking is still in operation.

Generate customisable user labels

This month we gave school administrators the ability to generate customisable user labels from the ‘Actions’ menu in People Management; rather than manually creating these labels for students and staff when additional information needs to be included, users can now generate individual user labels and label templates with custom fields and user selections/filters.
