Reset Future Roll Markings
Marking the wrong roll is no longer a moment of panic! If a future roll is saved by mistake, it can now be reset in a simple click, directly from the roll itself. Clicking ‘Reset Roll’ clears the marked statuses and comments so the session goes back to a clean, unmarked state, and Compass keeps a complete history, so you can always see who reset it in the previous markings.
Note: This feature is available to staff with AttendanceAdmin or AttendanceMarkOtherRolls permission
Weather and UV Indicator Homepage Widget
Get a quick overview of the weather in your area with the new weather widget! Let Compass help you plan your day at a glance, and make any necessary adjustments to outdoor activities.
To add the weather widget to your homepage, please follow these steps:
- Click on the cog icon in the top right-hand corner of your portal to open the Tools menu
- Select ‘Edit Home Page Layout’
- Click ‘Add Widget’
- Select the ‘Weather’ widget from the dropdown list
- Move the widget to your desired location
- Click ‘Save’ or ‘Save and Close’
Ability to Choose Notify Only or Approval for Faculty Managers in Chronicle
This highly requested improvement to Chronicle gives schools more control over how Faculty/KLA Managers fit into the notification chain process. When including Faculty/KLA Managers within the notification chain of a Chronicle template, you can now choose the function within the chain – notify only, or notify and approve.
Set and Configure Swimming Proficiency
You can now customise swimming proficiency options to provide clear information on students’ actual swimming skill level! Configure your school’s proficiency options in Code Set Administration against the overarching ‘Proficient’ and ‘Not Proficient’ codes. Then, when parents enter this information either in Enrolments or when updating details, the student’s swimming proficiency level will be clearly indicated on their record.
Access Code Set Administration via the cog icon > Administration Tools.

Coming Soon: Chronicle Bundled Fields
Build conditional fields into Chronicle for more control over the information entered into your Chronicle entries! This could be as simple as having a text field appear for manual entry when the ‘Other’ option is selected from a dropdown list, or as complex as follow-up questions when a head injury is reported for a student.
