This year, we’re elevating your Compass experience with enhancements to existing modules and the introduction of new ones to streamline your workflows, delivering plenty of updates to make your experience better than ever. Rubrics

We’re thrilled to announce an exciting update to the Rubrics module in Compass! Designed with your feedback in mind, this update brings a fresh new look and streamlined workflows to make grading and assessment easier and more intuitive than ever before.

The improved user interface is clean, modern, and user-friendly, allowing you to create, manage, and use rubrics with less hassle and greater efficiency. Whether you’re assessing student work or designing rubrics from scratch, the new workflows make the process smooth and straightforward, saving you time and effort.

But that’s just the beginning! Coming soon, we’ll be rolling out powerful new features to further enhance your experience. Stay tuned to hear more about these new features.


Curriculum Management

The new Curriculum Management module is a powerful tool that helps schools create comprehensive and detailed course overviews, or ‘Curricula’, that bring learning to life. Create engaging units, add relevant content like Learning Tasks and Rubrics, and seamlessly integrate content descriptors from a pre-built bank to align with educational standards.

With the ability to push each Curriculum to specific subjects and classes, it ensures that staff, students, and parents have easy access to the right materials.  Plus, with the new Curriculum Planner View, you’ll have a visual timeline or Gantt chart to effortlessly plan and track curriculum delivery every step of the way!

Progress Reports

Get ready for a fresh, new look coming to the Progress Reports module! With a sleek, updated look, navigating and managing students’ academic progress is smoother than ever. This uplift brings a new and improved layout, making it easy to access key insights and streamline your reporting workflow.


Decline Chronicle Entries

Streamline Chronicle entry approvals with this new feature allowing staff to decline Chronicle entries during the approval process, providing a clear reason that will then be displayed at the top of the entry for the original creator to review. Once the creator has made the required edits, the declined entry can then be re-submitted, restarting the approval process.

We’ve also added a new ‘Declined’ Approval Status, making it easy to track and manage these entries from the ‘My Entries’ and ‘All Entries’ tabs within the Chronicle module. Declined entries will also remain visible to staff on the student’s profile page, ensuring no important details are missed.
