> The ‘Tools’ menu

> ‘Administration Tools’

> ‘Client Manager’

> Click the edit pencil next to the Kiosk

> ‘Arrival/Departures’ tab

Create Custom Role Groups in Permissions Manager

Schools can now create their own Custom Role Groups within the Permissions Manager module.

This enhancement provides your school with greater flexibility and control over staff permissions and access.

To create a Custom Role Group go to the:

> ‘Tools’ menu

> ‘Administration Tools’

> ‘Permissions Manager’

> Click on ‘Add Role Group’

> Type in the Role Group name. Role Group names must start with ‘Compass’ and only contain alpha and numeric characters without spaces.

> Click on ‘Save’

> Click on the Custom Role Group and add any relevant individual permissions

This enhancement is currently unavailable for CEnet and WA Government schools. Where applicable, they are expected to be rolled out soon. For further information, please contact your relevant representative.

Create a Sickbay Entry from the Quick Actions menu

Staff can now conveniently create a sickbay entry directly from the Quick Actions menu, allowing first aid staff to record a student’s first aid incident from any page in Compass.

To create a Sickbay entry from the Quick Actions menu:

> Click on the ‘Quick Actions’ menu

> Click on ‘Chronicle Sickbay Entry’

> Type in the student’s name

Tip and Trick: Daily Summary Report by Custom Flag

Learn how to generate a roll based on the Custom Flags configured at your school. This feature allows you to generate quick lists or a roll. This is useful if you require a roll that includes students who catch the bus home, take medication, or participate in specific programs.

The Daily Summary Attendance Report displays each student’s roll status along with any recorded attendance information, making it easy to identify their attendance at school for the day.
