Thanks to the support provided by the Compass team and the intuitive design of Compass, the transition was smoother than anticipated. Staff adapted to the platform, and the feedback has been overwhelmingly positive. There has been a reduction in admin so staff can spend more time on more valuable work.
Having previously relied on multiple systems for day-to-day operations, Redcliffe Primary needed a single, user-friendly system that would benefit its entire school community.
Being a smaller school made it more challenging to find a cloud-based system that was reasonably priced, flexible, and offered support tailored to a school with specific needs.
With the school opting to use Apple products – including iPads – they were often left frustrated with the incompatibility of Department of Education software with the Apple environment they had built within the school, and for a period of time were reliant on stop-gap software.
Initially, staff recorded individual student details in Excel, a process described as ‘clunky’. Staff needed a school management system that would make collecting, storing, and accessing student records easier.
