As part of our ongoing commitment to improving Billing Management for schools using integrated finance systems, we’re excited to announce three new updates! See below for the latest improvements now available. Expect to see these changes live in your portal this week.
Recent Product Updates:
1. Check the Compass – Xero Integration Status with Ease
When integrating with any external system, it’s important to know that the connection is secure and operating correctly. Now, you can quickly verify that your Compass-Xero integration is syncing successfully– giving you peace of mind, especially when raising large amounts of charges.
This new feature can be found in the Integration Settings tab within Billing Management. Look for the new Test Connection button. When the test is successful, you can be confident that transactions are syncing as expected.
2. Post Fee Schedules Without Making Them Immediately Visible to Parents
Posting fees in bulk can be a nerve-wracking task, especially when they are tied to parent visibility. With this update, you can now raise your charges to your third party integration without instantly sharing them with parents.
You’ll find a ‘Visible to Parents’ toggle within the Billing Run section. After reviewing and confirming your charges, simply switch the toggle on when you’re ready to make them visible to your parent community.
3. Student Names Now Attached to Each Fee Item
Previously, parents with multiple children at the school could find it difficult to distinguish between fee items.
Thanks to this update, parents will be able to determine who each fee item is for and for administrators to validate fee items for individual students.
