Schedule Chronicle & News Feed Communications
Communication associated with Chronicle entries and Newsfeed items created before 8am or after 5pm can now be scheduled to send during regular school hours, separating the moment the entry or post is made from when it reaches families. This gives staff more flexibility when documenting important information, while keeping communications timed appropriately for families.

Streamlined Rubric Creation
Building rubrics in Compass just got faster! You can now add and edit content descriptors directly within the main rubric grid, with the addition of reordering via drag-and-drop, to make creating rubrics more efficient. The pop-out side menu remains available for more granular control, giving you the benefits of both speed and flexibility.
Delivery & Pickup Options on Kiosks
We’ve added new delivery and pickup functionality to Kiosks! Designed specifically for couriers dropping off or collecting packages, this new tool makes it quick and easy for couriers to notify staff on arrival. Staff on the Delivery Notification recipient list are then alerted via the configured notification methods, making sure deliveries are completed seamlessly without the added admin.
To enable this in your portal, please follow these steps:
- Go to Administration Tools located under the Tools menu (cog icon)
- Navigate to Client Manager
- Click the edit pencil next to your Kiosk
- Under the Home Page tab, enable the ‘Home Page: Deliveries and Pick up’ setting
- Navigate to the Visitors tab, and configure the fields under the ‘Deliveries and Pickup’ section
- Click ‘Save & Close’
Control Same-Day Conferences Timeslot Visibility
Schools can now choose whether same-day Conferences timeslots that have already started remain visible to parents and students when booking. This gives your school leaders more control of the booking experience, and helps keep visibility consistent.
This setting can be enabled/disabled by following these steps:
- Go to Conferences located under the Community menu (people icon)
- Click ‘Settings’
- Enable/disable the ‘Hide Past Conference Booking Sessions’ setting as needed
- Click ‘Update’
Total Attending Column for Events
Reviewing attendance across Events just got easier! A new Total Attending column has been added to the Past Events and Upcoming Events tabs, giving you a quick view of attendee numbers across multiple Events, without needing to open each one individually. Streamline Events planning and management, and get the numbers you need at a glance.
Add Subscribers to Financial Management Sub-Programs
Subscribers can now be added to Financial Management sub-programs, granting the relevant staff read-only access to budget data and sub-program details, with optional approval permissions for purchase order lines. Manage subscribers individually or in bulk, making it easy to extend visbility to the right people without compromising budget control.

More Flexible User Creation & Password Reset Permissions
We’ve introduced two new granular permissions, allowing schools to assign user creation and password reset capabilities without needing to grant full access to all user records. This makes it easy to delegate day-to-day admin tasks appropriately, without over-provisioning access.
PeopleManagement.ResetPassword – Grants the user access to the Reset Password functionality in People Management. The user will also require the PeopleManagementBase permission.
PeopleManagement.CreateUser – Allows the user to create new users via People Management. The user will also require the PeopleManagementBase permission.
