Key Reminders to Kick Off 2025
As we dive into the new year, here are some helpful tips to ensure a smooth rollover process!
2025 Rollover Tips
QLD & NT:
- Configure your schedule
- Import your student data from OneSchool (QLD) or SAMS (NT)
- Complete the timetable import for the new year
Your Rollover process should be completed at this stage, please reach out for further assistance if not complete.

QLD Day 8 Export Reminder
You are able to generate your Day 8 Report for student attendances which contains attendance data of students who have been at school for the first 8 days of the school year.
To download the report, go to the Organisation Menu (Grid icon) > Attendance > Attendance Export > Attendance Status by Day as either CSV or PDF. You are able to customise the number of teaching days by changing the number in the box.
This data will display as:
- Students who have been marked as “P” in at least one session in the day will get a Y
- Students who have been marked as “NP” in all sessions for the day will receive an N
- Students who were enrolled partially through the reporting period will have blank cells in their data for the days prior to their commencement date
New Product Features
Activity Location to Arrival/Departure Pop Up
You can now see a location column when adding an arrival or departure note showing a student’s current class room, you can easily direct students to the correct place after their arrivals or speed up student collection for early departures.

Ability to Open and Enlarge User Profile Photos
You can now click on a student or staff member’s profile photo to enlarge the image for easier viewing.

Learning Tasks: Ability to Colour Code Results within Learning Task Components
You now have the ability to add custom colors to the Learning Task Grid based on recorded results. This allows you to allocate specific colors to each grading component, improving clarity and organisation.

This feature can be enabled in Learning Tasks Administration in the Administration Tools, for further support to enable this, please do not hesitate to reach out.
Comments for Newsfeed and Chronicle to be managed independently in each module
You now have more flexibility with comments on News Items and Chronicles! The “allow comments” options for students, staff, and parents can be enabled or disabled independently for Chronicle and Newsfeed, giving you better control over how comments are managed.

Master Learning Task- ‘Group’ and ‘Assessment Period’ Column added to the Weighting Selection List for Calculated Grading Component
When selecting weightings for calculated grading components, you’ll now see the ‘group’ and ‘assessment period’ next to the master learning tasks. This helps you quickly identify tasks with similar names.

Medication Monitoring for QLD and NT Schools
You can now record medical conditions, associated medications, and manage general medical stock within Compass.
